WP3: Traffic management and distribution management services

The aim of this activity is to specify a generic implementation of new solutions for urban freight traffic management and freight distribution management and to make a simple prototype based on generic and local requirements coming from other work packages. This includes:

• identifying open services that are required for interoperability with existing traffic management and freight distribution management systems
• specifying requirements to these services
• making generic specifications of the implementation of new functionalities, supporting smarter freight transport by means of open services identified by this work package and described by WP5
• implementing the freight traffic management and freight distribution management prototypes to be tested at the test site.

Work Package 3 consists of five main tasks:

• open traffic management services
• specification of extended traffic management implementation
• open distribution management services
• specification of extended freight distribution management implementation
• prototype enabling testing of extended functionality for freight distribution management and traffic management
